Aamir Khan's upcoming film Lal Singh Chaddha is one of the hugely anticipated films in Bollywood. The film is a remake of the 1994 film Forrest Gump, which featured Tom Hanks in the lead role. The Hindi remake will be directed by Secret Superstar director Advait Chauhan. Kareena Kapoor Khan plays the leading lady.The Dangal superstar has roped in Kollywood actor Vijay Sethupathi to play a key role in the film.

According to latest reports, Vijay Sethupathi is likely to play Bubba’s role that was a crucial role in ‘Forrest Gump’. He will be seen as Aamir Khan's friend in the film. Bubba aka Benjamin Buford Blue is a fellow soldier Forrest befriends while serving in Vietnam. 

Lal Singh Chaddha is produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Aamir Khan Productions together. The film will go on floors in October. It is set to hit the screens for Christmas 2020. Aamir Khan has begun work on the film's music with Pritam. The composer himself made the announcement on social media as he shared a picture of him with Aamir Khan, director Advait Chandan and lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Pritam wrote, “Spent a few days in the picturesque Panchgani with an amazing group of people working on the music of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. Coming back here and working is always so inspiring.”
