At the 2019 awards night of the annually conducted Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM), Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi took home the 'Best actor' award for his phenomenal performance in the film Super Deluxe. The actor made a trip to Australia to personally receive the award and was seen alongside Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Tabu and Arjun Kapoor among others. 

Tabu took home the trophy of the Best Actress for her performance in the 2018 thriller Andhadhun while Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, won the Best Film Award.

This year marks the tenth edition of the IFFM festival that saw the likes of Karan Johar, Zoya Akthar, Assamese filmmaker Rima Das, Tamil actress Gayathrie among others in attendance. The event which was kick-started on August 8, 2019 will close on August 17, 2019.
