Recently, it came in the open that director Vetrimaaran's next after Asuran will be a film with comedian Soori in the lead and that it will be an out and out comedy caper. Latest news on the project is that it will be a quickie before Vetrimaaran begins the sequel to his gangster drama Vada Chennai, starring Dhanush in the lead. 

While the director is yet to finalize the cast and crew for his film with Soori, the movie will be bankrolled by Eldred Kumar under the banner RS Infotainment and will most likely begin shooting as soon as Vetrimaaran wraps Asuran.
