The official announcement on Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero release date has been made now and it will be hitting screens on December 20, 2019. Directed by Irumbu Thirai fame PS Mithran, the film is produced at a whopping budget by Kotapadi J Rajesh for KJR Studios. Marking the debut of Kalyani Priyadarshan in Tamil film industry, who plays the female lead role,  the film’s star-cast includes Action King Arjun, Nachiyaar fame Ivana  and Bollywood’s most celebrated actor Abhay Deol, with the latter playing the baddie. 
According to the industry sources, the initial plan was to release the film for the festive occasion of Aayutha Pooja and eventually decided to reschedule it for hristmas holidays. The film has musical score by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by George C Williams and editing by Ruben.
