Manmadhudu 2 starring Nagarjuna and Rakul Preet in the lead roles is directed by Rahul Ravindran of "Chi La Sow" fame. The film is a sequel to Nagarjuna's blockbuster 2002 romantic comedy Manmandhudu. 'Manmadhudu 2' is set for release on August 9, 2019. Nagarjuna confirmed the released date on his Twitter page and also shared a new poster from the film.

Rakul Preet, Vennela Kishore, veteran actress Lakshmi and Devadarshini play pivotal roles. Samantha Akkineni and Keerthy Suresh play cameo roles in the film. In the first part, Nagarjuna's character hates women, but in the sequel he will be seen as a Casanova.
