Jr NTR's birthday brought with it the first glimpse of Dragon, his upcoming collaboration with director Prashanth Neel, now confirmed for a June 11, 2027 release.

The four-and-a-half minute video plunges straight into a world of opium wars set in 1967, with two powerful factions at the centre: the Afghan Trading Company and the Golden Trading Company. The glimpse opens with Rukmini Vasanth's character cradling a baby, softly reciting Genesis 1:1, the Biblical verse describing the creation of the world. As her words play out, the Afghan Trading Company's villains are introduced one by one, with the most fearsome saved for last. Jr NTR arrives as Luger, the assassin-in-chief of the Afghan Trading Company, framed unmistakably as the Devil himself.

Anil Kapoor features as Raghuveer Rathod, Chief of the Narcotics Bureau. The ensemble cast includes Biju Menon, Khushbu Sundar, Guru Somasundaram, Rajeev Kanakala, Ashutosh Rana, Anshuman Pushkar, Sidhant Gupta, and several others.

Ravi Basrur returns to score for Prashanth Neel, extending their storied partnership that spans Ugramm, both KGF chapters, and Salaar. Bhuvan Gowda handles cinematography, Pranav Sri Prasad edits, with Peter Hein and Chetan D'Souza leading stunt choreography.

Dragon is produced by Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao Arts and Mythri Movie Makers, with T-Series presenting the film.
