Manmadhudu 2 starring Nagarjuna and Rakul Preet in the lead roles is directed by Rahul Ravindran of "Chi La Sow" fame. The film is a sequel to Nagarjuna's blockbuster 2002 romantic comedy Manmandhudu. The makers have unveiled a new teaser introducing Rakul Preet as Avantika. Nagarjuna shared the new poster and video introducing Rakul's character in his Twitter page.

Vennela Kishore, veteran actress Lakshmi and Devadarshini play pivotal roles. Samantha Akkineni and Keerthy Suresh play cameo roles in the film. In the first part, Nagarjuna's character hates women, but in the sequel Nag will be seen as a Casanova. 'Manmadhudu 2' is set for release on August 9, 2019.
