Jagapathi Babu and Ravi Shankar lend their voice for The Lion King

Actors Jagapathi Babu and P. Ravi Shankar will be lending their voice for the Telugu version of Disney's upcoming live-action movie 'The Lion King'. The two will dub for the characters of King Mufasa and Scar respectively.

 

Disney has also roped in Tollywood actors Brahmanandam and Ali to voice for lead characters Pumbaa and Timon respectively. 

 

Previously, the studio had roped in superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan to voice King Mufasa and his son Simba, respectively, in the film's Hindi version. Helmed by Jon Favreau, director of Iron Man and The Jungle Book, Disney's The Lion King is scheduled to be released on July 19 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
