Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh has earned Rs. 70 cr in its opening weekend. The film marks Shahid's second highest opening weekend grosser next to Padmavaat. The film which opened to mixed reactions from the critics has however got a good response at the ticket windows.
The film has minted Rs. 20.21 cr on its opening day making it the highest grossing film in Shahid's career beating Padmaavat which earned Rs. 18.21 cr on its opening day. Kabir Singh has collected Rs. 70.83 cr in its opening weekend. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh shared the film's box office numbers on his Twitter page.

Directed by Sandeep Vanga, the film hit the theatres on June 21. The film is the Hindi remake of Telugu hit film Arjun Reddy which starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead roles.
Kabir Singh had the third best advance booking this year after Avengers Endgame and Salman Khan’s Bharat, by collecting Rs. 11.50 before release. ‘Kabir Singh’ has also become the fourth-highest opener of 2019 after Salman Khan's Bharat (Rs. 42.30 cr). Kalank (Rs 21.60 crore) and Kesari (Rs 21.06 core).
