Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat has had a great opening at the box office by earning Rs. 42. 30 on Day 1. The film has emerged as Salman Khan's biggest opener ever in his career surpassing the Day 1 collection of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo which earned Rs. 40.35 cr.
The film which bagged mixed reviews, has witnessed strong hold on Thursday (Day 2) as well. Despite being a working day, Bharat has minted Rs. 31 cr on Thursday, with the total collection adding up to Rs. 73.30 cr in 2 days. The film witnessed good occupancy in evening and night shows. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh has shared the box office numbers of Bharat on his Twitter page.

If the same trend continues, the film is likely to witness huge rise in collection over the weekend. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the cast includes Katrina Kaif, Tabu, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff and Nora Fatehi.
