After reports of Raashi Khanna being approached to play female lead in Simbu's next film, latest updates suggest that actress Kalyani Priyadharshan might have been roped in as the female lead in STR's Maanadu. However an official confirmation on the same is yet to be made.
Maanadu is director Venkat Prabhu's maiden collaboration with actor Simbu and is touted to be a political thriller. Actor Jai was also rumoured to be a part of the film, though no announcements on the cast has been made as yet.
The film is a production venture of V house productions and has Yuvan Shankar Raja for music and Praveen K.L. for the edits.
