Case Filed against The Accidental Prime Minister!

 

Anupam Kher, a PM Modi sympathiser and known for his allegiance to the BJP came with a 3 minute trailer of his upcoming movie The Accidental Prime Minister, just when the ruling party bit the dust in the assembly elections of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgargh. 

The movie which is based on the eponymous book by Dr Manmohan Singh's media advisor Sanjaya Baru has Kher caricaturing Dr. Manmohan Singh,with the trailer takes potshots at Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and other politicians like RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, BSP chief Mayawati, former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and his deputy L.K. Advani (the last two of whom are known to share a cold vibe with PM Modi despite belonging to the same BJP party).

Now, a case has been filed against actor Anupam Kher and others associated with upcoming film by Lawyer Sudhir Kumar Ojha who has stated that he felt "hurt" upon viewing the promos of the movie, set for release on January 11, 2019 on TV channels and YouTube.

Petitions under IPC sections 295, 153, 153A, 293, 504 and 120B for criminal conspiracy, promoting enmity between different groups and insult with intent to provoke breach of peace have been filed in Muzaffarpur's Chief Judicial Magistrate court and January 8, 2019 has been fixed to to hear the case in Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate court.
