Shankar's sci-fi extravaganza 2.0 starring Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead roles which hit the screens yesterday has opened to unanimously positive reviews from all quarters. The film which released in more than 1000 screens in Andhra Pradesh / Telangana (AP / TG) has minted Rs. 19 cr on its opening day with a share of Rs. 12.5 cr. 2Point0 marks Superstar's career best opening in the Telugu states. 

Previously Kabali which grossed Rs. 12.4 cr (share Rs. 9.25 cr) held the record for the highest grossing Rajinikanth film in the state. The Telugu distribution rights have been sold for Rs. 70 cr. It has made a decent start at the Telugu box office considering its high theatrical values.
