The screen count in India is now estimated to be 7800+ and the estimated new numbers look something like this:
Tamil Nadu: 850-900 screens

Andhra Pradesh/Telangana: 1100 screensTotal in India: 7800+ screens

If recent reports are anything to go by then India's most expensive film 2.0 which has Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson at the forefront is all set to release in over 6800 (approximately) theater screens throughout the country. Though no official details on the film's screen-count have been released, the rough estimate looks something like this:
Tamil Nadu: 600 - 625 screens
Kerala: 500 - 525 screens
Karnataka: 300 screens
Andhra Pradesh/Telangana: 1200 - 1250 screens
North India: 4000 - 4100 Screens
Total: 6600 to 6800 screens (Approx.)
With this, there is every chance of 2.0 replacing Baahubali: The Conclusion (6500+ screens) as the movie with the highest number of screen-counts in India.
Directed by Shankar, 2.0 is censored with an U/A and is hitting theater screens on November 29, 2018.
