Vijay Antony's Thimuru Pudichavan which was announced as Diwali release has backed out from the race. The film release has been postponed to November 16 from November 6 due to lack of good screens as Vijay's Sarkar has been given top priority by the distributors and exhibitors this festive season. So the makers have decided to postpone the film's release to a later date. With the other most awaited biggie, Superstar Rajinikanth's 2.0 slated for release on November 29, as much as 7 films including Thimiru Pudichavan have announced the release date as November 16. 

On the other hand, Kalavani Mapillai starring Attakathi Dinesh and Adhiti Menon in the lead roles joins the Diwali release on November 6. The film is being produced and directed by Gandhi Manivasagam.

Sarkar, Billa Pandi, Kalavani Mappillai and Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan are finally clashing at the Box Office this Diwali!
