Vada Chennai censor details reveal the political elements in the film!

For a while now, it has been murmured that Dhanush starrer Vada Chennai is a political thriller apart from being a gangster drama and the same was confirmed at the recent press meet held for the film. If was also suggested that the movie throws light on how politicians who are booked for fraudulence of crores of rupees deal with the situation, once they are behind the bars.

And as if to confirm the political element in the film, censor details of Vada Chennai which has been certified an A by the CBFC, reveal that MGR's death and Jayalalitha's rise to power are very much a part of the film. There is also a unknown 'DMK' element in the movie.
 

Vada Chennai will see Dhanush in the role of Anbu, an ambitious carrom player inadvertently getting involved with gangsters. It also starrs Aishwarya Rajesh as Padma, Dhanush's love interest, Andrea as Chandra and Ameer as Rajan, her love interest.

The movie is set in the timeline of early 1990s to 2000s and is the first part of Vetrimaaran's trilogy. It hits theatre screens on October 17, 2018.
