Vijay's starrer Sarkar is one of the hugely anticipated films in Kollywood. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film is set to hit the screens for Diwali. Sony Music South has bagged the audio rights of the film. A grand audio launch event has been planned on October 2, 2018. The first single Simtaangaran which was released a few days ago has received mixed reactions from the audience. 

Sarkar starring Vijay and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles is touted to be an action-packed political drama. Radha Ravi, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Pala Karuppiah play pivotal roles in the film. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film has music by A.R. Rahman.
