The release date of director Mani Ratnam's upcoming multi-starrer film Chekka Chivantha Vaanam(CCV) has been officially advanced by a day i.e. the film will now be hitting theatre screens on September 27, 2018 instead of the originally announced date of September 28, 2018. The movie is touted to be socio-political drama with Vijay Sethupathi playing a cop and Arjun Vijay playing a villain.

CCV which also starrs Simbu, Arvind Swami, Jyothika, Aishwarya Rajesh, Aditi Rao Hydari and Dayana Erappa among others, has A.R. Rahman for the music and is produced by Madras Talkies and will be presented by Lyca Productions.
