The makers of 96 movie have released the first single 'Kaathalae Kaathalae' song from the film. Govind Vasantha has scored the music. The song has been sung by Chinmayi and Govind Vasantha while Karthik Netha has penned the lyrics. 

Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha play the lead roles in 96 movie directed by C. Prem Kumar who earlier handled the cinematography for Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom. The film is bankrolled by Nandagopal of Madras Enterprises. The teaser which was released earlier has received overwhelming response from the critics and audience.
