The much awaited spy thriller Vishwaroopam 2 is all set to hit the screens worldwide on August 10, 2018. The film will release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi simultaneously. The sequel to Vishwaroopam would also be Kamal Haasan's first film to hit the theatres after his political entry in February this year.

Magnus Movies has acquired the USA distribution rights. The film will have its US Premiere on 9th August. Magnus Movies in a statement has said that Vishwaroopam 2 will be Kamal Haasan's biggest release in the USA.

Vishwaroopam met with huge success after it ran into several controversies before it hit the theatres in 2013. Vishwaroopam 2 has acquired a U/A certificate. While the film will be presented by Raaj Kamal Films International in Tamil and Telugu, it will be presented by Rohit Shetty and Reliance Entertainment in Hindi. The film, stars Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jermiah, Shekhar Kapoor, Waheeda Rehman, Jaideep Ahlawat, Nasser, Anant Mahadevan, Yusuf Hussain and Rajendra Gupta. Mohammed Ghibran scores the music.
