Malayalam superstar Mammootty will be essaying the titular role of late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy in his biopic titled Yatra. Mahi V Raghav is helming the biopic. The film went on floors yesterday (June 20) in Saradhi Studios in Hyderabad. 

The team has planned to wrap the entire film shoot in a single long schedule which will last until September. Yatra will pay tribute to YSR’s historic 60-day Padayatra in 2003. Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy are bankrolling this prestigious project under 70mm Entertainments banner. The makers are planning to release the movie in January next year for Sankranthi.
