Actor Ranbir Kapoor had just wooed the audience with his uncanny transformations for Sanjay Dutt's biopic and even before the film could hit theatre screens, the actor has surprised his fans with a new film announcement. Titled Shamshera, the film has Ranbir Kapoor playing a dacoit of the same name and will see him in a never-before-seen avatar. Touted to be an action drama, Shamshera will be directed by Karan Malhotra (of Agneepath, Brothers fame) and is expected to go on floors by the end of this year.
This project is bankrolled by Yash Raj Films, a production giant Ranbir is collaborating with after 9 years. The film will wrap shooting by mid-2019 and is likely to release by the end of that year.
