Avengers: Infinity War crosses $800 million worldwide; beats lifetime collection of "Spider-Man 2", "Deadpool", "Guardians of the Galaxy"

The hugely anticipated “Avengers: Infinity War” hit the screens worldwide on April 27. The film had a thunderous opening at the Box Office worldwide. It has crossed the $800 million mark globally.

 

The film collected $88 million worldwide on Tuesday alone, taking the global box office to $808.4 million. In USA, the film crossed $300 million in just five days. The domestic total collection (US) is $305.9 million and the international box office collection sits at $502.5 million.

 

"Avengers: Infinity War" has passed the lifetime box office collection of "Spider-Man 2" ($784 million), "Deadpool" ($783 million), "Guardians of the Galaxy" ($773 million) , “The Amazing Spider-Man” ($758 million), “X-Men: Days of Future Past” ($748 million) and “Suicide Squad” ($747 million). 

 

Avengers: Infinity War has been smashing records left and right ever since its release last Friday. The film is likely to break the record for the fastest movie to $1 billion at the global box office. If it reaches that number by Friday it would have done it in 10 days, breaking the 12-day record from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
