Post wrapping up Kadaikutty Singam, actor Karthi has resumed shooting for his upcoming film Karthi 17 (tentative title), which has Rakul Preet Singh playing female lead. The shooting at Chennai is expected to go on for a month post which the team will be seen filming at Hyderabad. The film had earlier begun shooting on March 8, 2018 before coming to an halt owing to the TFPC strike.
The yet untitled film is directed by debutant Rajat Ravishankar (former assistant of director R. Kannan) and has Ramya Krishnan, Prakash Raj, R.J.Vignesh, Amruta, Renuka and actor Karthik playing supporting roles. The film which is touted to be a travel adventure is produced by Lakshman Kumar of Prince Pictures in association with Reliance Entertainment and has Harris Jayaraj for music, Velraj for cinematography and Ruben for the edits.
