Mahanati, a biopic on legendary actress Savitri is one of the most awaited films. The audio of the film is set to be launched on May 1. A second single from Mahanati will be released "Thandhaay" today evening. The film is scheduled for release on May 9, 2018.

The multilingual film is directed by Nag Ashwin. The film stars Keerthy Suresh in the titular role as Savitri. The film also features Dulquer Salmaan (as Gemini Ganesan), Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Mohan Babu, Naga Chaitanya, Vijay Devarakonda, Shalini Pandey, and Prakash Raj amongst others.
