The first look of actor Vijay Deverakonda who plays Samantha Akkinenni's on-screen pair actress Savithri's biopic Mahanati (Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil), has been unveiled. The actor plays a character named Vijay Antony, who is reporter Madhuravani's love interest in the film. Interestingly, this will mark the actor's debut in Tamil, if released before his full-fledged Tamil venture.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the bilingual film also has Keerthy Suresh (as Savithri), Dulquer Salmaan (as Gemini Ganesan), Naga Chiatanya (as Nageshwar Rao) and Shalini Pandey (as Savithri's friend Jamuna) among others. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies banner, Mahanati / Nadigaiyar Thilagam hits theatre screens on May 9, 2018 and has Mickey J Meyer for music and Dani Sanchez-Lopz for cinematography.
