Vijay's upcoming film, Thalapathy 62 (working title) bore the brunt of several disgruntled industry folks over 'special permission' given for the film's shoot despite the TFPC strike. As reported earlier, the team wrapped the shooting yesterday and with that completed 40% of the film's shooting. A video clipping of Vijay waving to his fans while exiting the set has also been shared widely on the internet.

Before controversy over the film's shoot broke out, actor Radha Ravi had revealed that he and Pazha Karuppiah play politicians in the movie and Vijay has a lot of conflicting scenes with them. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures, Thalapathy 62 has Keerthy Suresh playing female lead with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar donning a pivotal role as well. The film plans to hit theatre screens for Diwali this year.
