Keerthy Suresh's Mahanati wrapped up, team pays tribute to actress Savithri

Mahanati, a biopic on the legendary actress Savithri, is one of the hugely anticipated films in Telugu this year. The film shooting has been wrapped completely. It was an emotional moment for the entire team. After traditionally breaking the pumpkin for wrapping the shoot successfully, the team had also offered prayers to late actress Savithri as a mark of tribute.


Here is what Keerthi wrote :


An incredible journey of over an year, gets completed today. I feel emotionally taken aback. Big thanks to @nagashwin7 & @VyjayanthiFilms for their trust in me. We all have something proud to look back. Can’t wait to get her at the theatres


Director Nag Ashwin has helmed the project which is bankrolled by prestigious production houses Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema. The film is set to release on May 9, 2018 and the post production work is also progressing in full swing. The production house had also issued a statement thanking all the actors and technicians who were part of this film. Here goes the statement:
