Looks like its more disappointment for fans of Rajinikanth who were anticipating Kaala's release as a compensation for the delay of 2.0. But the ongoing TFPC strike may have played spoil-sport as reports of Kaala getting pushed further have started surfacing. Apparently post the ongoing strike, films that have already been censored will be slated for a release first and TFPC placed a request with the makers of the yet-uncensored Kaala to let this happen by pushing their release date.
Though there has been no official confirmation on the same, reports of the film getting pushed by a month has already started spreading like wild-fire. Produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar films in association with Lyca Productions, Pa. Ranjith directed Kaala was scheduled to hit theatre screens on April 27, 2018.
Update: Lyca denied the news in their official twitter account
@LycaProductions has not conveyed anything to anyone regarding #Kaala release date. We are not responsible for any statements arising on release date speculations
