Actress Samantha Akkinenni was plays a reporter named Madhuravani in actress Savithri's biopic Mahanati (Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil), has wrapped up her portions in the film. The update was made by the team who shared a symbolic image from the shooting sets. Earlier, an image of Samantha chilling on the sets had gone popular on the internet making everyone jealous of the kind of Monday the actress was having.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the Telugu-Tamil bilingual film has Keerthy Suresh (as Savithri), Dulquer Salmaan (as Gemini Ganesan), Naga Chiatanya (as Nageshwar Rao), Vijay Deverakonda (as Madhuravani's pair) and Shalini Pandey (as Savithri's friend Jamuna) among others. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies banner, Mahanati hits theatre screens on May 9, 2018 and has Mickey J Meyer for music and Dani Sanchez-Lopz for cinematography.
