Ever since director Mani Ratnam's upcoming multi-starrer film Chekka Chivantha Vaanam was launched, numerous reports about the genre of the film and the roles each star will be seen playing has kept emerging. One such latest report suggests that Chekka Chivantha Vaanam is a socio-political drama and as indicated in the poster, is set against the backdrop of a nuclear facility. And adding to Vijay Sethupathi's speculated role of a cop, it is now being said that Simbu will be seen playing the role of an Engineer and Arvind Swami the role of a politician while Arjun Vijay plays the villain in the film. (None of these details have been officially confirmed).
The movie also starrs Aditi Rao Hydari, Jyothika and Aishwarya Rajesh and is expected to complete shooting in another three months. Chekka Chivantha Vaanam is titled Nawab in Telugu and has music by A.R. Rahman, cinematography by Santhosh Sivan and edits by Sreekar Prasad. The film is produced by Madras Talkies and will be presented by Lyca Productions.
