Siddharth Malhotra's upcoming film with director Neeraj Pandey, Aiyaary was initially supposed to hit theatre screens on January 26, 2018; however the film along with Padman had pushed its release date to February 9, 2018 paving way for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's controversy-mired Padmaavat. Now, seems like Aiyaary is facing opposition of its own thanks to the objections raised by the defense ministry of India. Reportedly, the film might be pushed to February 16, 2018 as the changes suggested by the defence ministry for the film is still underway, which will be followed by the censor board formalities.
Aiyaary has a strong cast line-up that includes Manoj Bajpayee, Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher and Rakul Preet Singh among others. The film is based on true events and is produced by Friday Filmworks. The movie will be presented by Plan C Studios and Reliance Entertainment.
