Official : Padmaavat to release on Jan 25, First Indian Film to have a Global IMAX 3D Release !
The makers of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much-in-the-limelight film Padmaavat, have officially announced that the Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor starrer indeed be releasing on January 25, 2018, as predicted by the industry trackers earlier. The film will now be meeting Akshay Kumar-Sonam Kapoor - Radhika Apte starrer Padman, a movie based on Tamil Nadu's real life 'padman' Arunachalam Muruganandham.
Viacom18 Motion Pictures have also added that Padmaavat will be releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and will also be screened in 3D and Imax 3D format. It is worth mentioning here it will be the first Indian film to have a global IMAX 3D release. Padmaavat is certified an U/A and its release has so far been banned in two states - the Vasundra Raje governed Rajasthan and the Vijay Rupani lead Gujarat. Madhya Pradesh Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has cryptically indicated on a ban but an official statement on the same in still awaited.
