Vivegam smashes all Chennai city opening records

Thala Ajith's Vivegam has shattered all Chennai city opening records with a gross of 5.67 CR from the first 4 days. Each of the 4 days had a 1CR+ gross, which is another record at the CBO. Vivegam's Day3 city gross of 1.52 CR is in fact the highest ever single day gross in the city, beating its own Day2 gross of 1.51 CR.

From today, the film will obviously see a dip from such lofty levels in the opening weekend. We have to see how it sustains in the coming days and weeks. But Vivegam is certain to cross Ajith's current best Vedalam's city gross of 7.1 CR in few more days. It's also likely to cross the 10 CR gross mark in the city, thereby marking a first for Thala.
