Salman Khan to return Rs 35 crores to Tubelight distributors


Salman Khan's movie Tubelight release on Eid this year came  with high expectations. The movie did not do well at the box office and some of the single screen distributors and exhibitors reached out to the actor for compensation as they lost lot of money.

 

Salman’s father Salim Khan had said in the interviews that Salman has agreed to pay money to distributors and exibitors some time ago. Now it is said that the actor is going to give then Rs. 35 crores to them.

 

Trade Analyst Komal Nahta confirmed this on Twitter. The amount is half of the total losses faced. 


 

Tubelight is a 2017 Indian Hindi period war drama film written and directed by Kabir Khan. The film is produced by Salman Khan and Kabir Khan. The movie is set in the background of 1962 Sino-Indian War and stars Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, Zhu Zhu, Matin Rey Tangu and Om Puri. Shah Rukh Khan appears in a cameo in the film.

 

Salman Khan is currently shooting for ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.
