Sonu Sood to play warrior in 'Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi'

Sonu Sood is all set to work with Kangana Ranaut in Manikarnika The Queen of Jhansi. He will play a warrior in the film. Sonu Sood will play Sadashiv in the historical drama, to be directed by Krish. 

 According to the Times Of India, Sonu Sood will be essaying the character of Sadashiv, and has already started his preparations for the film. “It’s challenging to play a real life character because you know that it existed in the history and you have certain parameters to follow and stay within. I’m sure when you’re working with a brilliant director like Krish, a huge ensemble and a brilliant technical team, there is no way to go wrong. So we are all on our toes to give our best,” said Sood.

The last time Sood was part of a historical period film was in ‘Jodha Akbhar’ (2008) and, before that, ‘Shaheed-E-Azam’ (2002). ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi’ is slated to release in April 2018.
