Amid theatre strike, producer of Rajinikanth starrer confirms 2.0 3D Mela
Raju Mahalingam of Lyca Productions who has produced the Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 has reassured that the 2.0 3D Mela, which is an event aimed at promoting the usage of latest 3D equipments in theatre screens will be conducted as planned on July 5, 2017 i.e. tomorrow at Chennai. The invite-only meet and greet will be attended by bankers, theatre owners and 3D equipment manufacturers and is aimed at upgrading as many screens as possible to the latest 3D technology before the movie's release on January 25, 2017. Since the film fraternity's focus is currently on the indefinite theatre shut-down over the GST and state taxation, the producer took to his social media page to confirm that the event has not been cancelled.
2.0 3D Digital Meet will take place on 5th of July(tomorrow) as planned. We request all theatre owners to bring their invites with them.
