Akshay’s film talks about sanitation and the need to have a toilet in every household to reduce health issues among women and children who are extremely prone to the unhealthy environment due to open defecation.

 

As the film is based on this subject, the government has decided to run the film tax-free in all BJP-run states.

 

According to a source in a leading daily, “The Government has decided to implement an entertainment tax exemption in all BJP-run states. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is not merely a film, but also a tool for social reform. And, this film deserves to be seen by all. Therefore, it deserves to be made tax free.”

 

The film stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role, with Bhumi Pednekar alongside. Sana Khan is also featuring as Akshay Kumar’s girlfriend in the film. Anupam Kher is also present in a prominent role. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film is scheduled to release on August 11 this year.
