Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor are finally going to be sharing screen space for the film Padmavati. While Ramveer Singh plays the antagonistic Alauddin Khilji, Kapoor will be seen playing Raja Rawal Ratan Singh. The film, which also stars Deepika Padukone as the eponymous warrior queen, has already been laden in controversy over its content, reports Deccan Chronicle.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali had mostly been shooting the solo scenes of the three lead actors and the combination scenes between Padukone and Kapoor, the director was yet to film scenes that had both Singh and Kapoor screen space. However, a source now says the moment has finally arrived.

“Sanjay sir planned the shoot in such a way that individual scenes of all actors were shot first. These will be followed by portions that see them together. Although Deepika (Padukone), who plays Rani Padmavati, and Shahid, as her husband Raja Ratan Singh, have shot together before, Ranveer has shot solo scenes until now. There is latent animosity running through the scene. Before Ranveer injured himself while shooting last week, the scene was discussed with him,” the source said.

‘Padmavati,’ is slated for a 17th November 2017.
