Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan's pictures with the Netflix CEO Reed Hastings went viral a couple of days in the past. The latest buzz is that, Netflix has signed a whopping Rs. 120 crore deal with the makers of Aamir Khan's next ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’.


The deal could see the film premiering online instead of television after its theatrical release. Bollywood Life reports that Netflix has signed an exclusive satellite and digital rights of the film. Aamir Khan is expected to retain theatrical and music rights of the film.

 

A source told SpotBoye, “Netflix wants to buy the rights of all films of Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan which hit theatres from now on. This means that you will see the films of these two Khans first on Netflix and not on Sony/Star/Colors/ZEE.”

 

Thugs Of Hindostan, is touted to be India’s answer to Pirates Of The Carribean. The film brings together Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir on the big screen for the first time. The leading lady hasn’t been finalised yet though names like Alia Bhatt, Vaani Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Fatima Sana Shaikh were being considered for the role. Thugs Of Hindostan is slated to release on 2018.
