Thuppaki censored "U" - 4 More Days to Go!

Thuppakki team has confirmed that the movie has received U certificate from censor officials. It is understood that producer may still be waiting to receive the certificate. This news has sent a wave of excitement among distributors and exhibitors since this will let them keep 30% of the revenue collected due to entertainment Tax Waiver. A lot of expectations riding on Thuppakki as Tamil Industry enters the penultimate month of 2012 without a genuine big budget Super Hit nor a Blockbuster.

Final Day of Post Production Work

AR Murugadoss has also confirmed the release date to be November 9th. Harris Jayaraj confirmed that he has wrapped up the last reel of re-recording yesterday. The sound mixing, final color corrections and sub-titling are expected to be still in progress as of Monday. 

Prints to ship for Overseas

Once the final copy is ready, first set of prints are usually sent to overseas territories. Thuppakki is expected to release in record number of screens in Europe, UAE and North America. For instance, the US distributor is planning to exceed the movie in record number of screens breaking the record set for Maattrraan(63), Billa 2(61) and Nanban this year.
