Thuppaki Countdown - 9 more days to go 

With only 9 more days to go, Thuppakki is gearing up for a massive release on November 9th. The opening is expected to be epic and break records to become the highest for 2012. Here are some updates,

Thuppakki Censor Certification - "U/A"?

Thuppakki to be censored today and is expected to get "U/A" certificate. Since the story requires certain level of violence for the impact, we will have to wait and see whether Thuppakki will opt for "U" certificate for business reasons(i.e., 30% entertainment tax waiver). Once the official certification is issued, a formal announcement will be made promptly along with release date.

Telugu Audio Release

Thuppakki Telugu audio was released on October 29th. Vijay impressed the audience by taking the effort to talk in Telugu. AR Murugadoss has fan following among the Telugu audience because of his Ghajini(dubbed and remake versions) and Chiranjeevi's Stalin turning out to be major hits in the past. Thuppakki will also release on November 9th facing competition from other major Diwali releases in Hindi and Telugu.

Record Breaking Overseas Opening Expected

Thuppakki is well prepared in the overseas territories to release in recording breaking number of prints (of course, not taking Enthiran into account). In the US, the movie is expected to release in more prints than Billa 2(61) and Maattrraan(63). The movie is having expectations in countries such as France and Nederlands. It is well known that Vijay has great fan following in Europe, Canada and the movie is expected to topple some Box Office records.

Post Production and Re-recording

As always, Harris Jayaraj is still working on re-recording for final reels even after the completion of censors. Thuppakki's re-recording, sound mixing and sub-titles is expected to be completed by end of this week.
