Maattrraan really rocks. Somthing different  story. Surya of course is the man of the match. The conjoined twins superb acting. It is a racy entertainer. Surya and Vijay will rule tamil cinema this generation after the legends Sivaji-MGR, Kamal-Rajini. Eventough I'm more Vijay fan, I'm surya fan also. Maatran ruling here in Malaysia, waiting for thupakki. Maatran is a must watch movie. Kudos to KV Anand.

Pros: I liked is the attention to detail. I was clearly amazed to see HLPC instrument being used to verify the product components. Which directors now a days go so in-depth.. Hats off.. On the other hand, KV took anything for granted and forgot that this is a Tamil movie. Surya is simple superb in differentiating the two characters. BGM in some scenes are of hollywood standards.. 

Cons: This would surely work if its a Hollywood film (Seriously. No joke intended. Just see second half as English movie, you will know what I mean. First half had some unnecessary scenes and second half had many unnecessary scenes. KV tried to tell too much as the movie progressed. Second half was pretty average. What started as conjoined twins moved to Olympics then to whole Indian children and ended with super baby. Story is good. But presentation could have been better. May be some obvious trimming in climax and second half will help.

Final Verdict: Once watchable for everyone's hard work.. KO>Ayan>Maattrran

Pros : We need to appreciate director KV Anand for giving an excellent movie, And the backbone of the movie is Suriya, who lives up to our expectations with his body language and voice modulation for both the characters. At some point he makes us believe that they are two different people. He also takes care of the comedy part, as there is no separate track for comedy. He impresses with his dance as well as the action scenes. Photography is another big plus for the movie. Theeyae theeyae song where the twins dance together, was a challenging song sequence which is engaging. A scene where Akilan wants to watch 'Mankatha' and Vimalan wants 'Nanban' finally they end up watching "Karnan". Fight scene followed by the hospital scene where twins been separated was a touching scene. 

Cons : There is no big chemistry or physics between Kajal and Suriya, as we seen between Karthi and Kajal. Also Kajal was not great with her expressions or dance movements.. Lengthy climax scene which irritates a bit. And few logical mistakes like Kajal cries and worries about her friend Ashok and Volga's death. But she was less bothered about her lovers death and shows more interest on the investigation.

Final Word: A great entertainer, would have been more interesting if they cut short few scenes.
