1. Chennai 28 II

Venkat Prabhu's Chennai 28 II was solid as a rock across the city, with the movie being the only choice of movie buffs for the second consecutive weekend. The boys are indeed back in style!

2. Veera Sivaji

Veera Sivaji is yet another film replete with clichés and an uninspiring screenplay. Vikram Prabhu definitely needs to choose his scripts wisely and the negative reviews meant lower footfalls for the film.

3. Saithan

Vijay Antony's Saithan was affected by many external factors including demonetisation and Vardah cyclone, which deterred the movie from becoming a hit.

Other Movies:

Gautam Menon's Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada was running across a few multiplexes, while Maaveeran Kittu just had a couple of shows.

Upcoming week's releases:

Vishal's Kaththi Sandai and Sasikumar's Balle Vellaiya Thevaa will be hitting the screens during the Christmas weekend.
