Gautham Menon to remake Telugu Movie Pelli Choopulu 

The remake rights of the hit Telugu romantic comedy Pelli Choopulu has been acquired by Ace filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon. Written by Tollywood scriptwriters Tharun Bhascker and Dhaassyam, the movie is about the journey of two strangers following a common dream together. The July release of this year went on to become a box office success, both within the country and overseas. It is yet to be confirmed if the director who is awaiting the release of his Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada coming November, will don the director's hat for this project. 

The movie is expected to go on floors later this year and is expected to feature new-faces. Reports also confirm that the director has already begun the casting process. Following the footsteps of Menon, Vashu Bhagnani has finalised the deal for remaking the movie in Hindi.
