Theri rights red hot in the trade

While Vijay's Theri is in post-production stage, the business of the movie is already red hot in the trade. According to the latest buzz, producer Thanu was offered as a package deal of Rs 12.5 crore for Kabali + Theri in Kerala, of which Theri gets about Rs 6.5 crore. But, there is no official word yet on this. Few big labels in the industry are in the race to grab the theatrical rights of Theri in Tamil Nadu, and one can expect that the movie would create new records.

Theri is slated for release on April 14. The movie, starring Vijay, Amy Jackson and Samantha in the lead roles, is directed by Atlee. Music is by GV Prakash. The movie is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu.
