Kangana Ranaut chops off her hair for 'Rangoon'

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is one of those actors who likes to get into the skin of the character and does everything possible to get the desired effect. The National Film Award winning actress has chopped off her beautiful tresses short for her role in Vishal Bhradwaj’s upcoming film ‘Rangoon’.

The ‘Queen’ actress is the first among the contemporary actress who has preferred to cut her locks instead of wearing a wig. Kangana plays the role of an actress and the look of her character named Julia is partly inspired by Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe. Her cropped hair too resembles that of the blonde actress. She will be seen wearing halter neck long flowy dresses and red lips to play the ultimate seductress.

The film is set in the backdrop of World War II and stars Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in the roles of a soldier and a filmmaker respectively. Shahid Kapoor too has grown a full beard for his role of an army officer in ‘Rangoon’ as he didn’t want any paste-up jobs for his look.

‘Rangoon’ is a romantic-musical love-triangle being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film is set to release next year.
