DON on steroids With Amazing Ken, positioned in a school backdrop!
There are many ways for the youth these days to get distracted - smoking, drinking, or other influences. Ken, as a writer, chooses to explore a more carefree side of a youngster's life while gently steering towards what should ideally be one's focus. Instead of leaning into heavier themes, he opts for a lighter approach, portraying a boy who spends time aimlessly with friends and gets easily carried away by attractions, making it relatable for a wider audience.(more)

Ken Karunaas's school rom-com is teen drama done right
Youth does not set out to break boundaries, and it makes no pretence of doing so. It is a safe, generic, feel-good school drama with the right doses of love, emotion, and comedy. When these elements are handled well, a film can work even on familiar terrain, and Youth largely succeeds on that front.(more)

'Youth' Movie Review: Perfect Casting In This Fun But Familiar Coming-Of-Age Comedy
Right from Praveen's body language to his through processes, the film's situations and how girls act around Praveen, there's a definite quality that reminds one of the films that made STR a huge star in his early 20s. But one can also argue that this film transitions very smoothly from an old-school STR film into the realm of a proper, post-2010s Dhanush movie too.(more)

Youth Movie Review: Ken Karunaas delivers a fun-filled school romance with a meaningful core
One of Youth's biggest strengths lies in its supporting cast, particularly Suraj and Devadarshini as Ken's parents. Their characters add emotional weight to the story, especially during the pre-climax stretch where their narrative arc unfolds meaningfully. Suraj balances humor and sentiment effortlessly, while Devadarshini delivers a heartfelt performance as a mother whose world revolves around her son.(more)
