Maara remained an insipid and uninspired version of Charlie till the mid point. As the stories of Shivada and Mouli came into focus,the film had my attention. Shivada and Mouli were excellent in their respective roles. There were lots of supporting stars like Appukutty, MS Bhaskar etc but no one registered in the mind. The cinematography is fresh and the BGM is exciting. But the screenplay is slow and tacky which derails the story. Madhavan appears slightly stiff in some moments as the lightness of the role seemed to bother him. (more)
