Few Spurts Of Laughter Ensure That The Goal Is Reached!

Whether you enjoy a film like Dhillukku Dhuddu 2 would depend a lot on your sensiblites. But going by the laughter of the audience that I watched the film with, the makers certainly seemed to have achieved their goal. (more)

Santhanam's one-liners, Motta Rajendar, and the comical screenplay make Dhilluku Dhuddu 2, a good watch.

One place where the audience could have lost connect, is when the film moves from Chennai to Chottanikara, Kerala. The transition happens so quickly. A few scenes become too predictable because of the number of films we have seen in this genre. This isn't a technical masterpiece or a brilliantly written comedy film, but at the end of the day, it entertains you well with dialogues and some good one-liners.(more)

One-liners of Santhanam and Rajendran are given more emphasis than an engaging story which holds one's attention.

Santhanam has rectified the mistakes made in last outing, and has portrayed a character catering to his expected audience. He has done some stunts this time, too, but doesn't look much comfortable with romance, thanks to an underdeveloped track. Rajendran proves why he is still in demand even after essaying similar roles in many movies. While many comedy scenes hit the target, some of them fail to do so. The spooky scenes in the pre climax portions have ample fun elements, though it's a bit stretched which affected the mood to a small extent. A better story and a convincing romantic track would have helped the movie score more.(more)

A distasteful 'horror' film; barely funny or scary

Dhilluku Dhuddu 2 plays out like a rehashed Lollu Sabha rehearsal session, sans purpose, fun and good humour.(more)

Santhanam gives viewers a painfully tiring film

Dhilluku Dhuddu 2 starring Santhanam is the sequel to Dhilluku Dhuddu. The horror comedy is terribly low on creativity and is a disaster, says our review.(more)

Nothing fresh in this late entrant to the horror-comedy genre

Dhilluku Dhuddu 2 is certainly late to the party as far as the 'horror comedy' bandwagon is concerned, but it might just give some hope to Santhanam's dwindling career. His comic style is still very much the same - one that gives more emphasis on the 'counter dialogue'. He'd do well to experiment a little bit, and a horro-comedy is a step in the right direction, albeit late by at least a couple of years.(more)

A Horror Comedy Where The Jokes Are Scarier Than The Ghosts

A few jump-scares, a 'cliffhanger', and a lot of screaming later and we realise the 2 in the title is not because its the sequel. It's the number of times the film makes you laugh.(more)
